About Anu ganapathy

Anu lives in Bangalore with her husband, their daughter and two adorable dogs, Nora and Kulfi! She has a double degree in Business Administration, from India as well as the United States. She worked for a number of years with GE and KPMG in the United Sates as well as KPMG and ANZIT in Bangalore. She quit the corporate jungle to nurture the family menagerie, and emerged, through passion, trial and error, into a space that she has transformed into a veritable oasis of green on a rooftop. Her mantra is: Anyone can start a garden and get good at it with a modicum of interest, a little perseverance and basic knowledge of gardening!

She loves to teach people how to grow vegetables, greens, fruits, medicinal plants and maintain organically.

Anu was my inspiration for gardening!! Seeing what she was able to do by implementing simple techniques gave me the belief and encouragement to try my hand – and I have been amazed at what I have achieved.  Its Thyme to Garden imparts the what-why-how-when knowledge for immediate application by ANYONE!!

I joined the Its Thyme to Garden presentation at the 1Q1 restaurant as a novice, won over by the posts I had seen in the news media and on Facebook. I was looking for a practical and self-sustaining solution – and it was precisely what I got. Anu brought to life the world of organic gardening and was also very kind with the post- presentation advice that fast-tracked my understanding and got me started on my own patch of heaven.

Anu’s passion for organic terrace garden is contagious- her students have all successfully started their own gardens and enjoying this therapeutic hobby and essential life skill! She has accumulated a wealth of knowledge over the years - that she generously shares during her signature course “It’s thyme to garden”! I’m proud to know her

As a reasonably proficient farmer, I attended Anu’s class hoping to enhance my knowledge and bring the farm within the confines of the home. I can testify that the skills imparted during the session allowed me to see the connections and the differences. Her session really is a one-stop answer to the entire home garden eco-system

It was an interesting session. My 7 year old had joined as he spends maximum time in the terrace experimenting with various seeds n plants. He was lost but I feel much informed now to guide him. Thank You

Very informative and nice session. Even I am trying my hand to grow a few vegetables off and on. Sometimes results are good and sometimes it's just disaster. But now with some tips from Anu ji I think to get better results. Thanks
